Hall of Fame
Framework to be reused for universities, museums and other clients to archive and display historical content.
The Hall of Fame Framework was a game-changer in the world of historical databases. Originally crafted for universities, the framework quickly proved its worth for a variety of clients. We built it using React, ensuring that it was adaptable to any situation and could be easily reimagined to fit any need.
Involvement
When I first started working on designing interactive applications for universities, I quickly realized that the process could become very time-consuming if we had to start from scratch each time. So, we put our heads together and came up with a reusable framework that could be customized for each new client's needs. As part of the design and development team, I helped create this adaptable system, and later on, I became a manager, overseeing teams who were building unique interactive applications from this framework.

Creating a reusable system.
Before we started the development process, we took the time to chat with our clients and review their existing interactive tools. By doing so, we gained valuable insight into their processes and identified areas for improvement. Armed with this information, I worked with the team to design wireframes that ranged from simple to complex, which helped us map out the necessary steps to create more effective and engaging interactive applications.
Designed for simplicity and reuse.
Ensuring that our designs are both visually appealing and functional was a top priority in developing the Hall of Fame Framework. We knew that our clients would have varying amounts and types of media to display, so we designed the framework to be highly adaptable and flexible in accommodating any range of collected media. Our goal was to create a visually stunning, yet practical platform that would showcase each client's unique content and history in the most engaging way possible.
Adaptable and scalable components.
We put a lot of effort into designing a set of basic components that could meet our users' needs in the best possible way. To make sure the framework was flexible and scalable, we created a handful of variations for each component and documented them in detail. This approach allowed for consistent reuse and also made room for the framework to grow and evolve in the future.
